On May 31, 2025, the Broward Sheriff's Advisory Council and Dx-Web/Stahl Family hosted an adventure-filled 'Day at the Zoo' for the Families of BSAC. Over 30 children and their family members came together for an unforgettable experience filled with connection and unforgettable memories.

Held at Zoo Miami, the families participated in hands-on experiences, including feeding giraffes and parrots, and cooling off in the splash park. Families shared lunch and laughter, creating lasting memories in a supportive environment.
It was wonderful to see the kids laughing, exploring, and simply enjoying the day," said Valerie Silverman, Executive Director of the Broward Sheriff's Advisory Council. "This is what it means to be part of the BSAC family. We're here to support them, not just in grief, but in all moments of life. What's especially meaningful is how we bring together families from different departments who might never have crossed paths. Their children connect, their parents bond, and true friendships form, all because of this shared space we've created."
"These families made the ultimate sacrifice, shared Kessianne Brewster, Chairman's Council Partner of the Broward Sheriff's Advisory Council. "We can never replace who they lost, but we can stand with them, honor their families, and help bring moments of joy back into their lives."
The Day at the Zoo is one of several annual events hosted by BSAC to support families of fallen heroes. While the organization provides financial assistance in the immediate aftermath of a tragedy, its commitment to these families goes much deeper, welcoming them into the BSAC community and walking beside them for years to come.
This unforgettable day could not have been made possible without the unwavering support of the Stahl Family and Dx-Web. Their deep commitment to the mission of BSAC and their passion for supporting first responders and their families is truly inspiring. The Stahl Family and Dx-Web embody what it means to stand behind those who serve and the loved ones they leave behind.
